Cambridge Youth Track Club
Cambridge Youth Track is a not-for-profit track and field team located in Milton, GA. Our mission is to encourage and expose young athletes to the many benefits of the sport of track and field. Our programs are not just about running and athletic conditioning; moreover, it’s a training ground where our athletes are encouraged to master lessons of competition and challenge themselves mentally and physically. We encourage all athletes from beginners, to athletes that compete on a national level to join our team. We are proudly affiliated with Cambridge High School; therefore, we have access to their state of the art track and facilities for our training needs.
Cambridge Youth Track Club is a member of the USATF (USA Track & Field).
Ages
Cambridge Youth Track Club is a member of the USATF (USA Track & Field). Our track and field program is open to athletes between the ages of 6-18.
When
The Track & Field season begins in early March and extends through the end of May with 4-5 developmental track meets. The USATF competitive season begins in June and will continue based on individual athlete performance at the local, state, multi-state, and national levels through the end of July. The USATF competitive season (June & July) is completely optional for athletes and parents who want to move forward to the next level of competition. If your athlete wants to attend our practices during the developmental season for cross-training and not compete in the meets, we encourage them to come out for training as their other spring sport’s schedule allows. All practices and meets during the developmental season are optional.
Where
Track practices will primarily be at Cambridge High School. We will have additional speed and strength training practices at local grass fields (all locations will be on calendar with practice times) and some long distance practices will be on local trails.
Practices
We plan to practice 2-3 times per week typically from 6:30pm until 8:30pm. On big meet weeks we may offer 3-4 practices for the week. All practices and meets are optional during developmental season.
Please note that the High School teams have priority, and our practices have to work around their schedule. If their games or meets are rained out, our practices are subject to being moved or cancelled. All of our practices and meets will be posted on our the calendar.
Meets
There will be 4 or 5 regular-season developmental meets beginning, Saturday April 19. Meets are on Saturdays starting at 8:00 AM unless otherwise communicated.
Uniforms
PTS is our uniform vendor for the 2025 season. The uniform style will remain the same so if your athlete has a uniform from a prior season that fits, you will not need to purchase a new one. Uniforms consist of a top (tank top or compression top) and a bottom (loose track shorts or compression shorts). Both traditional "loose" fit and the compression "snug" fit will be available. Please be aware that, once purchased, uniforms CANNOT be returned or exchanged.

This is a developmental season which allows athletes to prepare for “Championship Summer” season. All practices and meets are optional and can truly be utilized to improve your athletic speed, strength, balance and coordination under the guidance of elite coaches. Our developmental season begins in March and ends in mid May.Our first practice is scheduled for March 10th, at the Cambridge High School track. Typically, practices will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays, 6:30pm-8:30 pm. For the month of May, we practice Monday and Wednesday, 6:30pm-8:30pm.
There is an optional summer competitive season from late May to end of July and each meet is a qualifying meet so athletes have to qualify to advance from area, to state, to regionals, to Nationals to our USATF Junior Olympics. The summer registration fee is $325 and runs late May to mid-July. There is also a discount if your athlete joined us for the developmental season. We have several athletes on our team that are Junior Olympic medalists, so this is a great opportunity to compete and train with elite athletes. (Summer registration will begin in Early April-discount for those athletes who ran Spring Season with our Club).
